The Jasper Park Chamber of Commerce is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join the team. A summary of competencies are listed below. Full details can be obtained by contacting the General Manager at manager@jpcc.ca or call the Chamber Office on 780.852.4621.

The Administrative Assistant must demonstrate competence in all of the following:

  • Ethics: Understand ethical behaviour and business practices ensuring behaviour is consistent with the standards of the Jasper Park Chamber of Commerce Mission and Vision statements
  • Relationships: Establish and maintain positive working relationships with other staff, executive/board, members, and partners to meet the goals of the Jasper Park Chamber of Commerce Mission and Vision statements
  • Office Skills: Use of computer system, office equipment and social media to complete reports, compile data, track event registrations and update members and partners on Chamber activities and initiatives
  • Effective Communication Skills: Speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques
  • Client Focused: Understand and respond to the needs of members, partners, executive/board and visitors to the Jasper, to meet or exceed their expectations 
  • Team Player: Work cooperatively and effectively with others at all times
  • Decision Making: Assess situations to determine importance, urgency and risks and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization, reporting same to the General Manager 
  • Organization: Set priorities, develop a work schedule with support from the General Manager, monitor progress towards goals and track progress including undertaking training as deemed necessary or toward achievement of set goals
  • Planning: Determine strategies to achieve the Mission and Vision statements by insuring all activities and work related to the position remain a day to day focus
  • Problem Solving: Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions and make recommendations to the General Manager
