The 29th annual Canada’s West Marketplace will be held from November 14-17 at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in partnership with Travel Alberta and Destination BC.
More than 300 Alberta and British Columbia tourism suppliers are expected to attend the event, meeting with and promoting their products to international tour operators and wholesalers from across Europe, Asia Pacific and North America.
“Tourism works. Canada’s West Marketplace helps to grow tourism across Alberta and British Columbia,” said Royce Chwin, CEO of Travel Alberta. “In Jasper, tourism suppliers from across both provinces will be able to present their products, experiences and services to tourism buyers worldwide, and grow their businesses on an international scale.”
Established in 1989, Canada’s West Marketplace is a partnership between Travel Alberta and Destination British Columbia. Each year, the trade show alternates locations between Alberta and B.C. To learn more, visit www.canadaswestmarketplace.com.
“Canada’s West Marketplace provides tourism operators with direct access to global tourism buyers, social functions, networking opportunities and familiarization tours in an intensive and highly productive industry forum,” said Marsha Walden, President and CEO of Destination British Columbia. “Building on the success we have seen in Kelowna this year, we look forward to welcoming our partners in Jasper in 2016.”
“Jasper is thrilled to be hosting the 2016 Canada’s West Marketplace,” said Bryan Attree, Managing Director of Tourism Jasper. “This event will give our tour operators an opportunity to venture beyond and experience the Rockies as never before. We are excited to work with all of our industry partners in destination, throughout the Canadian Rockies, and in Edmonton to showcase the adventures we have to offer. We will make this an unforgettable event before, during, and after the marketplace.”
