Forum Details – October 7, 2025

Residents are invited to attend the upcoming Municipal Candidate Forum on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall, Jasper Activity Centre. The evening is designed to give voters an opportunity to meet candidates, learn more about their priorities, and hear their perspectives on the issues that matter most to our community.

Doors will open at 6:00 PM for an informal meet-and-greet, where attendees can speak directly with candidates at their designated spaces. The formal forum will begin promptly at 7:00 PM and run until 9:00 PM.

In advance of the event, candidates will provide short written statements introducing themselves and highlighting the issues they feel are most important. These statements will be shared online, in the Chamber newsletter, and available in print at the door.

Community members are encouraged to submit questions ahead of time through online channels via email to admin@jpcc.ca or upon arrival in writing at the event. Questions will be reviewed and consolidated to reflect the topics of greatest concern to residents. To keep the forum fair and organized, questions will not be taken directly from the floor during the evening.

Recognizing that many residents remain displaced, the forum will also be streamed live to ensure everyone has an opportunity to listen, engage, and feel included in the democratic process.

With 17 candidates registered the format will ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to participate, while giving voters a broad sense of each candidate’s views and priorities. The evening will conclude with closing remarks from all candidates.

A Note for Displaced Residents

Special Ballots

We recognize that many residents remain displaced and want to ensure you are fully included in this election. Special ballots are available for displaced voters. Applications for special ballots are open from September 1 to October 10 and should be submitted to info@jasper-alberta.ca

The Municipal Election Forum will also be streamed live, so displaced residents can hear directly from candidates and remain engaged in the democratic process.
